Tra L. Alford serves as Community Development Director and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) Director at Citizens National Bank, where he leads initiatives that expand access to capital, promote economic development, and strengthen communities throughout Mississippi. With decades of experience in community banking and development, Tra is passionate about creating opportunities that foster long-term economic growth and improve quality of life.
A Meridian native, Tra is a graduate of Newton High School and earned his Master of Business Administration from Mississippi State University. His leadership combines financial expertise with a deep commitment to community engagement and service.
Tra is actively involved in numerous civic and nonprofit organizations, serving on the East Mississippi Business Development Corporation (EMBDC) Education Committee, the Minority Business Alliance Executive Committee, and the Finance Committee at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
As a member of the Community Foundation of East Mississippi Board of Directors, Tra is dedicated to advancing philanthropy and expanding opportunities for individuals, families, and communities across the region. He brings valuable experience in community development and collaborative leadership to support the Foundation’s mission of creating lasting impact throughout East Mississippi. Tra is the proud father of two sons, Damion and Trey.
