The Community Foundation of East Mississippi offers many flexible ways to give, so you can support the causes you care about, in the way that works best for you. Every gift, no matter the size or form, helps sustain nonprofits, strengthen families, and build a brighter future for our region.
YOU CAN GIVE THROUGH:
• Cash: A simple and immediate way to make an impact. Donate online or by check to support nonprofits and initiatives making a difference across East Mississippi, or contribute to an existing fund that aligns with your passions.
• Securities (Stocks & Bonds): Donate appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds to potentially avoid capital gains taxes while also receiving a charitable deduction—allowing you to give more while maximizing tax benefits.
• Real Estate: Transfer appreciated property, such as land or homes, to create a lasting impact. Gifts of real estate can provide significant tax advantages while supporting meaningful causes in your community.
• Retirement Assets: Designate your IRA or 401(k) as a charitable beneficiary, or make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) if you’re 70½ or older. This tax-efficient option can help you meet required minimum distributions while supporting future generations.
• Life Insurance: Name CFEM as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy to turn a long-term asset into a powerful future gift that reflects your values and legacy.

Donors: Your giving just got better. The causes you support will receive their grants instantly once approved, with full gift details attached — so your dollars go to work sooner.
Grantees: You’ll receive an email from Chariot (hello@joinchariot.com) to claim your account — this outreach is legitimate and authorized by CFEM.
